Angela PochThis vegan vegetarian cooking school was developed to teach how to cook tasty vegetarian and vegan meals. We do not use any eggs, milk, or meat products in our vegan recipes and we give alternatives for the occasional recipe with honey.

Using DVD's and our online program we hope to bring vegan and vegetarian cooking schools around the globe in the reach of everyone!

We promote a strict vegetarian diet with vegan encouragement (Ie: limited or no honey, protecting the environment, and so on, however on occasion we may suggest eggs in recipes for those on a restricted diet or in remote areas such as the mission field) We believe our health is important, and that we have a responsibility to the creatures God has made.

We are PURELY informational and hope you will use common sense and other materials to get a well rounded education. THIS is not a COMPLETE course in health or in cooking for that matter, but if you stay with us long enough, we will cover just about every topic you need to eat and live well.

This school is owned and operated by Higher Path Print & Productions (formerly Sette Publishing). For more about Higher Path visit our main website www.HigherPath.ca. (More on Angela Poch below)

Angela Poch: Housewife and cook for over 19 years, Angela Poch has researched healthful living for her family and friends, leading her to become a semi-vegan. (She does occasionally wear leather and use other animal products like.. hmmm, dare I say... ice cream while visiting friends.)

Having irritable bowel from her youth, Angela found lying on her back extremely painful along with other daily tasks, until a friend shared a healthier lifestyle.  She and her family became strict vegetarians (no dairy or eggs) in 1999, and this change improved her health significantly.  Due to the medical literature showing the benefits of such a lifestyle combined with exercise, Angela began to have a desire to share this good news with others. That desired to help others live happier, healthier lives drove her to hold health luncheons in her home with help from her mother, Diane as well as holding cooking schools across British Columbia for over 5 years.  After much prompting from friends, she set out to write a series of unique cookbooks for healthful living.  Having created and adapted many recipes for the Health Luncheons, cooking classes, and friends with food allergies and sensitivities, it wasn’t too hard to come up with the recipes needed.  In addition, a few recipes were donated or inspired by friends.  You can see some of these recipes free on this website under recipes.

Currently she is working on a gluten free/allergey cookbook due to the discovery of wheat intolerance in her home (herself and husband do well limiting wheat). Angela also has several food sensitivities so is on a VERY restricted diet (no pototoes, no beans, no wheat, no cruciferous veggies, and the list goes on.) and thus she is no long a strict vegetarian, but does occasionally eat eggs to provide adequate nutrition. Although she does continue to seek the most healthy alternatives and treatments. Also, she is working with her son on a Kids cooking program: Happy Kids Cooking Healthy.

With help from her father Wayne Castellarin and husband Jim Poch, Angela started Higher Path Print & Production (formerly Sette Publishing) to photograph the food for the cookbooks and publish the books.  That in turn branched into photography, graphic design, video production, low cost printing, and more.  Angela graduated from the New York Institute of Photography in Aug 2007 and while photography continues to be one of her most fervent passions it has also branched full fledged into video production.  www.HigherPath.ca

In addition to writing cookbooks, Angela has also written and complied booklets on health and character.  As a home schooling mother she saw the need for character emphasis in the home to help families have true happiness and runs a homeschool website www.CharacterHomeSchool.com.  She developed over 25 Character Quotes ‘n’ Notes and she is currently working on a Character Course for Children www.ChildrensCharacterCourse.com and a video series Career with Character www.CareerwithCharacter.com

A graduate in Nutritional Counseling from the Total Health School of Nutrition in Calgary AB, she continues to research health to help others have better mental and physical health.  Other credentials include: Certified Depression Recovery Program Director for over 2 years, Certificate in Lifestyle Matters, ASI member, Member of Physician Committee for Responsible Medicine, Food Safe Certification, worked in a restaurant as a cook for two years, and has her Business Administration Certificate.

On top of IBS, Angela was diagnosed with Fibromylgia in the summer 2011 and has significantly reduced her work load - one of those being phone orders and lenthy phone calls so she could continue with video production, writing, and homeschooling her son. Thank you for your understanding.
